Divided into 3 separate pages due the sheer variety of Greek pottery design and form, this one is for the specifically Greek shapes and replica wares. Please be aware that if you order pieces from this page that most of these have significantly longer creation times inherent to their forms and thus orders may take 1-3 months depending on our schedule at the time. • Non-complex Greek Patterns: Border designs, single creatures or figures, and some whimsical variations on Greek style artwork; an emphasis on simple line-work and black-figure. Mostly "normal" shapes of pottery, plus skyphos, simple kantharos, and kylix.
• Complex Greek Patterns: detailed scenes and figures, very much the classical form of Greek ceramic art--though still with some options for whimsical variations. Much higher percentage of red-figure. Mostly "normal" shapes of pottery, plus skyphos, simple kantharos, and kylix.
• Greek Forms: The really specialized Greek pottery, i.e. items like rhytons (figural drinking horns), aryballos (oil jars), large amphora, kantharos, kraters, phiale (libation bowl), oil lamp replicas, etc.

Rhytons

Animal-headed, horn-shaped, handled Greek drinking vessel. (note: internal volumes vary significantly due the shape of the individual head shapes. For example, the cone-like dog or bird head has a smaller internal volume on average than the more spherical cat heads. Also, rhytons are almost always made to order and have the longest creation time of anything we make, so please consider this in the timing of your order. Phiale (or Patera)
