Mermaid or Pisces

Mermaid SetOriginally inspired by a special request for a Pisces (February 19 - March 20) design in the same style as the Sagittarius Night Lady, here the two fish are interpreted as a pair of mermaids grasping each others' tails. The details of the shape and painting will vary from piece to piece since each is individually hand-made.

History & Documentation

"According to one Greek myth, Pisces represents the fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed in order to escape the monster Typhon; they are tied together with a cord on their tails, to make sure they do not lose one another." In our version of the two fish of Pisces, we have two mermaids gripping each other's tails.
